MrBeast suits up for Fortnite

The Future. MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) is joining LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, and Ariana Grande by getting the Fortnite Icon Series makeover. The most interesting part? The top YouTuber is hosting an in-game competition that has a $1 million prize. With MrBeast’s worldwide fan base having a clear crossover with Fortnite, expect the unprecedented access to this extremely-on-brand competition to draw in one of the game’s biggest audiences.

MrBeast is bringing some generosity to Fortnite.

• MrBeast is joining Fortnite’s Icon Series, where his avatar will be in the game, and users can purchase two unique MrBeast-themed skins, accessories, and an emote, starting December 14th
• MrBeast is also hosting what is described as an “extreme survival challenge” with a $1 million grand prize.
• To win, players will need to try to get the highest score on a custom-built island (yeah, details are sketchy). The player with the best five high scores wins the grand prize.
  • And the top 100,000 players will get a “special in-game umbrella.”
