Another year at Art Basel in Miami – and TheFutureParty returned with a larger-than-life presence. We got to work and rallied the community to host two legendary events: Automatic Magic & The F**king Catalina Whale Mixer at Scope Art Show powered by WAGMIBeach, Magic Eden, and Polygon.
Days before our event, Polygon & Magic Eden announced their official partnership. Magic Eden, a leading cross-chain NFT marketplace, is integrating with the Polygon network to accelerate the development of exciting blockchain-based games and global brands entering Web3 to bring the next billion users to the metaverse.
Polygon has recently been pushing boundaries, pushing the mass adoption of “collectables” via Starbucks, The NFL, and most recently, Instagram. Days after our event…the Catalina Whales released their Polygon Pirates in collaboration with Instagram & Polygon. This was a full-circle collaboration, and we were responsible for the IRL aspect of celebrating it.
We kicked off the day with Automatic Magic.
We had hundreds of guests that came through TheFutureParty community as well as our partners. There were also a good number of people who attended by way of the Scope Art Show. We had four panels back to back with 20+ creators, innovators, and leaders in the Web3 space. There were DJ sets in between conversations, and art from 10+ artists lined the walls on Samsung screens, intermingled with a few physical (and phygital) pieces as well. We had Cuban sandwiches from Hotspot Bebitos, cocktails from Shokudo, and an epic 360 photo booth.
Then as the sun set across Miami Beach, the F**king Catalina Whale Mixer began. Guests flooded the beach to enter Scope, now re-imagined from the daytime into a pool of blue light and music vibrating the tent. Guests were welcomed with a pig roasting on the beach, great hospitality, and, most importantly, the most phenomenal DJs in the world. We kicked it off with HAVOC, and then A-Trak went B2B with legendary producer Just Blaze. This was all followed by some of the hottest new DJs out there, Chloé Caillet & Mochakk. Guests sipped cocktails and danced, surrounded by screens filled with curated art. POW POW! We did it.
