Future. A company called CryptoKickers wants to become the go-to platform for people to create and sell digital sneakers as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The platform could help mint the next great shoe designer who may have never gotten a shot if they needed to manufacture the design physically.

Using the Solana blockchain, CryptoKickers allows users to make digital sneakers and then mint them as NFTs.
Users will be able to sell the designs via Hodl, AirDrop, or on a marketplace created in collaboration with Metaplex.
Some NFT sneakers are already available on CryptoKickers, but the platform’s NFT builder has yet to launch.
If the shoe fits…As any digitally-native consumer knows, digital sneakers are becoming all the rage. While CryptoKickers is trying to democratize their creation and sale, other platforms are turning NFT sneakers into a wild mix of art collection and streetwear hype.
RTFKT Studios made $3.1 million off of one digital shoe collection, with some shoes going for $10K a “box” (yes, someone actually paid that). No wonder established players like Gucci and Jeff Staple are getting in on the action…
